Yes, very interesting indeed:
Valentino $745 @ Nordstrom
Paris Hilton $95 @ Heels
Christian Louboutin on Sale for $704 from $1,050 @ Bergdorf Goodman
Jessica Simpson for $80 @ Endless
Valentino is to Paris Hilton as Christian Louboutin is to Jessica Simpson. Not exactly, but WOW do they sure look alike! It amazes me how two shoes from two different designers can be so similar. Call it a knock-off if you will, but to some it’s a great deal! Whenever I see a “look for less” it makes me wonder: Why do we pay so much for a DESIGNER shoe, dress, handbag, etc? -especially when we don’t have the excess funds hanging around. There must be some psychological answer to this question, maybe some shoe purchasing research being done (sign me up please). Maybe it’s for the shoe quality, the mere thrill of buying a [insert large $ amount here] pair of shoes, or the fact that you can say you own a pair of Pradas. A shoe is a shoe- if you like it and it makes you happy then who cares how much it costs or what brand it is, right? What do you think? Do you tend to buy the “look for less” or save your money to buy big name designers?
In Pursuit of an answer to a maybe answerless shoe question,
