Clogs Clogs Clogs

I've refrained from posting about clogs since the whole clog craze started  because I'm not the BIGGEST fan and I like for this space to be one of shoe love, not hate (most of the time). That being said, clogs are growing on me and I finally found a pair that I would totally consider wearing:

Bow & Arrow at ShopStyle

Fritz Bows & Arrows Clog by Sam Edelman  for $148 @ Free People

The buckle design freshens up the look and I appreciate the sling-back strap. I feel like the strap un-clogs it up a bit but you still have the clog feeling with the grommet detailing at the edges... it's a good blend!

What are your thoughts on clogs? Would really love to read your opinions!

  2. I absolutely hate clogs, would never be caught dead in them, I don't care HOW popular they ever became...they're terrible.

to me, they're just as bad if not worse than Keds (so called) "Coming Back"

    yuck

  3. I did a post recently on my blog about my lukewarm emotions towards clogs. At first, I was literally like "ew." So disappointed that this look came back in. But then, I've seen some fashion bloggers style some clogs in a way I could actually see myself wearing. Mostly, I'll only accept them if they are open towed. If they look like normal, beautiful shoes with the exception of the wooden heel and grommeting detail. Probably defeats the purpose of a clog, but whatever!

  4. I can appreciate the strap, it does make it a bit less clog-like. Though I'm still not motivated to get a pair myself, I no longer shudder when I see some people wearing them!

  5. I had my first and only pair of clogs in 7th grade, old school Steve Madden's. Maybe it's because I'm 5'9'' but I really just can't get into the trend...
