Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale

I know I promised "pursuit picks" for the Half- Yearly sale, but I'm honestly not impressed with the online selection at all! Yes, there are some good basic sandals but that's about it. In hopes of finding something blog worthy or even purchase worthy, I decided to stop by the actual Nordstrom store to see what I could find. Although I didn't spot anything spectacular on the Half- Yearly racks here is what I did find:

This N.Y.L.A. Knotted 'Katrina' Sandal looks strikingly familiar! Remember these:

Ports 1961 'Geisha' Sandal for $750 @ Shopbop

The N.Y.L.A. 'Katrina' retails for less than $100 and has a VERY similar knotted detail to the 'Geisha' Sandal. The big difference - other than the price - is that the 'Geisha' has a wood heel but the N.Y.L.A. sandal has a gold covered heel. As soon as I can locate the N.Y.L.A. online I'll be sure to let you know.

If you ask any of my friends, they can tell you that candy dots are one of my favorite candies ever!

According to TIME, men own an average of 12 pairs of shoes while women own around 27. I decided to do an inventory of the BF's shoes to see where he lands.

He has about 30! (Some were MIA and others didn't make the picture cut)

Boutique 9 is really stepping up their shoe game lately and I thought they would be perfect for a Brand Spotlight.

Boutique 9 is part of the Nine West family and what I would call a more upscale and contemporary line (compared to Nine West only). Boutique 9 shoes are also sold at other retail outlets, not just Nine West locations, such as Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and Bloomingdales. They are very moderately priced and super stylish.

This style is very similar to the Christian Louboutin 'Coussin' Caged Sandal and is super sexy. (Available in black too)

Déjà vu- Jellies

Yes, Jellies are back! Jellies have been making a come back for a couple years now and this S/S '10 everyone from Valentino and Missoni to Steve Madden and Chinese Laundry are embracing our old 90's favorite. Although I'm not the biggest fan of all the jellies out there, here are a few that caught my eye:

Missoni Jelly Flat for $200 @ Zappos Couture

Love the d'orsay cut and the signature Missoni striped zig zag print. Also, it has a bow (you know they are my favs)! These would be perfect for a tropical vacation.

Tory Burch Jelly 'Reva' Flat for $95 @ Bloomingdales

I've posted about these before ( I have them in pink) and boy do I heart them. They just add a great splash of color to your basic jeans and tee. 

Steve Madden 'Jelyys' for $69 @ Bloomingdales

Fabulous d'orsay cut and jeweled detail. This style is also available in black & fuchsia.  Definitely a good price too!

Chinese Laundry 'Sweet Caroline' Jelly for $39

I saw these at the Chinese Laundry store in Vegas and thought they were super cute. My only hesitation is that the bow is velvet. Why velvet? Can it be another material? I almost want to buy them and put my own bow on 'em. I see a DIY project in the making!
