 February is over and it went by soo fast! I guess that means my birthday month has officially ended. Tears! Lots of great pics from the past week though:

How adorbs is this stiletto Sprinkles cupcake?  Our entire office received these to celebrate the launch of Sole Society! I ordered my first pair of shoes last week and can't wait until they arrive. Are you a member yet? Sign up!

Last week/weekend was FILLED with shoes. My second shoe fairy godmother gifted me these gorgeous Jimmy Choo sandals. I almost fell out of my chair when she handed them to me. PERFECT for SS'11. Love!

 The boy and I enjoyed the last of my birthday festivities at Kabuki Sushi. Green Tea ice cream is my favorite ice cream in the world. So yum!

Hello bangs! I cut my bangs a few weeks ago because I was getting bored with my hair. Still haven't decided if I heart them enough to keep them. Decisions, decisions!

Sunday, I went to the W Hotel to watch the Oscar Red Carpet at a VIP viewing with hosts Monica Rose and Geri Hirsch. Monica is such a sweetheart and looked amazing in an animal print sheath. I would kill for her closet!

Did you watch the red carpet and the show? Who were your best dressed? I thought Mila Kunis looked amazing in lavender and lace. Also, Anne Hathaway's custom Brian Atwoods were to die for.

I also brought out the new shoes for a ride on Sunday. Absolutely gaga over them!

Pursuing Shoes Like It's My Job...

Well it kind of is {insert smiley face}! 

A little shoe success story that I want to share: 

Earlier this week I posted a gorgeous pair of sandals from Mark & James by Badgley Mischka. The post also found its way to NOTCOUTURE and a lot of shoe lovers started clicking through to Pursuit and then Nordis. Although I had been eying them for a few weeks, I was holding off on purchasing until my shoe savings was sufficient… until yesterday! 

For some reason I decided to go peek at them again and to my surprise all sizes were sold out except 7, 8 and 10. Initial response- OMG this cannot be happening because I have to have these shoes- then I decided to live chat with the Nordis rep and beg her to find a pair in 5.5 or 6. Of course, she confirmed the worst, they were sold out and she was not certain if more were EVER going to come in. Google searches came up with nada/zilch/zero- I must find them- that’s when I remembered where I initially laid eyes on the beauties: Nordstrom in Glendale. 

I called the store and gave the Women’s Shoe Salon the item number and asked if they had a 5.5 or 6, even if it was the display. Obviously I was desperate. No 5.5 available and only one size 6 – HOLD THEM PLEASE! After work I booked it to Nordstrom and hoped that the 6 would fit.

It's as if the shoe gods were listening to my prayers because the size 6 fit like a glove. Shoe Success!

The profile is just so dreamy. Ohh I can't wait until it warms up so I can wear them! 

Lesson: Never stop pursuing shoes, there is always a way!

ON MY RADAR: Mark & James by Badgley Mischka

A few weeks ago I was moseying through the Nordstrom Shoe section, as I often do, when I spotted a fabulous shoe.  When I looked at the brand name, Mark & James by Badgley Mischka, I became curious and did some research.

In 2009, Badgley Mischka launched Mark & James as a more contemporary and accessible ready-to-wear collection. Stars like Eva Longoria and Halle Berry have been spotted wearing the line on the red carpet! Most recently, they added shoes to the assortment and I must say- I'm impressed:

Look at the profile? So stunning and sexy! I love the caged-rope and zipper back detail. Don't even get me started on the recessed platform. These may be my first shoe purchase of 2011 because I'm seriously gaga over them!

The wood platform works so well with the blush hue. I also appreciate the textured sole that peeks out at the toe and back.

As of now there are only two styles available but I'm sure we will see more in the future. What do you think? I'm looking forward to more beauties by Mark and James. They are definitely on my radar!

Weekend Pics

Had the most fabulous time in Vegas this weekend but I'm officially exhausted. Can't wait to sleep-in next Saturday! Here are a few snapshots from Thursday through the weekend:

On Thursday I celebrated one of my friend's birthdays at BOA in West Hollywood. Their steaks are delicious! Happy Birthday Eddie. 

Prada Ad at the store in the Bellagio Hotel. Bright basket weave sandals! 

Saturday night we went to see Peep Show featuring Holly Madison. There were so many wonderful creative aspects to the show and the dancers were incredible. They made me want to hit the gym hard this week! 

After Peep we headed to Tryst nightclub in the Wynn. How amazing is this giant waterfall? 

The five of us ladies split a Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate for breakfast on Sunday. Can't leave Vegas without having one!

Happy Valentine's Day!  

Boy was this weekend busy: Blog stuff, early VDay festivites, and the Grammys. There really aren't enough hours in the day sometimes. Here are a few pics from the past couple days: 

Wore my favorite Elizabeth and James shoes on Friday. The pink put my right in the early Valentine's Day spirit!

 Friday night I had the chance to try out the new Le Posh Salon and Spa in Weho. My massage was amazing and definitely needed! I'll have a full review on The Beauty Stop by the end of the week. 

Another weekend, another boozy brunch! The boy and I had an early VDay celebration at Trattoria Amici on Sunday morning and it was yummy. Don't worry we will celebrate tonight as well! 

Sunday night was the Grammys and I covered the Official Grammy After- Party for Allie is Wired. My Shoe Fairy Godmother came through for the evening with these lovely YSL Tribute Sandals. They complimented my sequined mini dress perfectly!

 The beautiful Keri Hilson performed at the after-party and she was spectacular. You can check out the live performance of  'Pretty Girl Rock' on Allie is Wired.
