I cannot believe it's time to buy Fall shoes already! Although I really want a pair of spectacular Miu Miu or Jimmy Choo black booties, my Fall footwear allowance is telling me NO. Thank goodness for these lovelies:

Wow, what a fun filled weekend celebrating my brother and sister's 16th birthday and covering the MTV VMAs. Lots of pics below: 

  Friday night I did a little window shopping at the Grove. I love leopard and you know it!

Saturday my friend Heather (from Bourbon & Bleu) and I had a lovely lunch and shopping date. It was one of the hottest days we've had this summer and I wore a flowing floral dress.

We spotted this ADORABLE shoe shirt from crew cuts. I almost bought it for my little sister as an early Christmas gift. 

For my 16 year old sister's birthday I made her a friendship bracelet. Now we match!

God Save My Shoes Documentary

How did I not know about this sooner? There is a documentary coming out about the relationship between women and shoes titled God Save My Shoes. Umm... I think it may have been written for me! 

 

The film interviews a group of shoe professionals and enthusiasts to find out why women have such an affinity for footwear. Designers like Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, and Pierre Hard make an appearance too. Think shoe closets of  Fergie, Kelly Rowland, Dita Von Teese and Beth Shak. Also, the documentary takes you inside the shoe closet of Vogue.



God Save My Shoes will premiere in Paris on September 29 during Fashion Week but as of now an American release is still in the works. UGH! In the meantime, there are also a few production videos on YouTube.  

Fashion's Night Out Los Angeles

Fashion's Night Out is just around the corner and I'm oh so excited!

 Fashion's Night Out is a global initiative created to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and put the fun back in shopping. This one-night-only event brings together designers, celebrities, models and consumers all over the world. It's a fabulous shopping party with drinks, freebies, deals and more. Sign me up!

Here in Los Angeles you will find retailers participating everywhere from Melrose Blvd. to Studio City. I've got to sit down and make a game plan asap.

This weekend was all about family. A few fun pics below: 

 

Started the weekend early on Thursday with some drinks at the member's only bar, Cana. They have fabulous rum concoctions!

Saturday I spent the day shopping with my little sister. Sometimes I get so caught up in my busy schedule that I don't spend enough time with my siblings. She is growing up too fast and I don't want to miss it!

Lanvin Concealed Wedge Boot for $1,090 @ Net-A-Porter

Look at that delicious shade! Lanvin calls it "grege" (so fancy) and boy does it look luxe. Also, how amazing is it that there is a 3" concealed wedge in that gorgeous boot? You know me, I'm all about getting the extra height. This boot makes me want Fall here asap.
