Dog Days of Summer: DIY Cut-Offs + Leopard + Lace

Umm... it's really hot! Even though it's sweaty city over here, it truly feels like Summer and I can't complain. Loving this easy breezy warm-weather look:

I made these cut-offs back in college and they've only gotten better with each wash! A few tips for DIY cut-offs: 1. cut them a bit longer than your desired final length, 2. cuff and iron the crease, 3. sew the cuffs to the shorts on the outer and inner seams. Sewing the cuffs will not only help them stay put in the wash but it also prevents the shorts from fraying TOO much over time.

Can we talk about how comfy J. Crew's Cece flats are? Each season J. Crew comes out with new colors and I just want to scoop 'em all up! If you're between sizes then size down because they stretch a bit.

Leopard + teal always make a great combo and I think this is a great case for how accessories can really make an outfit!

  1. You look so cute! I love this summer look - I have been practically living in cutoff shorts on the weekends. Those flats are adorable too, such a fun color.
