Last Minute Gift: Hot Chocolate & Bailey's Jar

I totally failed with gift guides this season  - where does the time go?! Two nights ago as I was frantically checking people off my list, I remembered a DIY gift that I pinned a few months back: hot chocolate & bailey's mason jars! They're super cute and unique, especially for co-workers or neighbors. I bought almost everything from Target and made a dozen in about 20 minutes:

 {what you need}
- mason jars
- hot chocolate powder
- marshmallows
- mini baileys or kahlua bottles (purchased at BevMo)
- raffia or ribbon

 BevMo actually had a limited supply of baileys so I opted to do a few kahlua bottle pairings. Yesterday I took them to work and they were a huge hit! Who doesn't love hot chocolate with a bit of alchy?

Happy gifting!

  4. SO COOL!! GREAT IDEA!! Thanks for sharing, Ash!

  5. Would also work well with Grand Marnier, Amaretto, or Schnapps; Butterscotch, Peppermint or Cinnamon.

  6. Is it just one packet of hot chocolate per jar?

  7. What size jars and how much chocolate powder??

    1. Hi! I bought the smallest size mason jars from Target and dumped enough chocolate powder in it with just enough room for marshmallows. Honestly, there are definitely multiple serving of chocolate cocoa in each jar. I was going more for look than vs. exact servings/measurements.

  8. When the recipients mix this up do they add hot water and then the Baileys?

  9. When the recipients mix this up do they add hot water and then the baileys?
