Citrus Hues

Can't get enough of color this season especially pops of lime! I spotted these lime platforms on a friend and instantly scooped them up:

The 'Cameo' was my first Shoedazzle purchase and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Shoedazzle styles aren't typically my fav but these reminded me of a pair of Giuseppe Zanottis from awhile back... for $39 they are a STEAL!

This look is definitely a great go-to for a breezy Summer day and the statement necklace adds a perfect touch of glam. I wore a very similar outfit for my GUESS video shoot last month - very exciting - just heard that I'll be able to share the video with you tomorrow! I haven't even seen it yet. EEK!!!

Friday/Saturday I participated in The Scavengebowl, an overnight scavenger hunter all over Los Angeles. One of our tasks was to jump in the pool at 3am!

After sleeping all day Saturday, Mr. Pursuit and I had a date night in Santa Monica to see The Big Lebowski under the stars. Eat See Hear is showing outdoor movies all Summer!

On Sunday I put together the balloons for Pursuit's 3rd Blogiversary shoot which Mr. Pursuit helped with and then we celebrated with dinner and wine.

I have a serious shoe site crush: SHOESCRIBE.COM. The site layout and functionality is spectacular, very clean and similar to Net-A-Porter, not to mention the shoe selection is delectable. Day to Night: Silk Romper

A challenge of Summer travel is fitting everything in one suitcase especially when the vaca requires multiple day and night looks! I used to be an over-packer but lately I tend to pack versatile pieces that can work for more that one outfit. A silk romper can easily be transformed from day to night with a quick change of accessories:

I've had this romper FORREEVER (last seen on Pursuit in 2010) and it's just so functional. Funny story: I bought this baby back in 2007 after I saw Jamie Lynn Spears wearing it in coral! Anywho, accessories are outfit changers and that's one reason I heart shoes so much. I'm telling you,  Zara Basic Sandals are the best bang for your buck.

Happy Monday! 

Did a little too much shopping this weekend but how could anyone resist these babies:

Nordstrom had these gorgeous Jimmy Choos on super sale and I just HAD to have them.

Also scooped up a fun pair of cap-toe heels from Zara! They are more of a blush/nude in person.

Saturday we went for a hike at Runyon Canyon. Summer morning hikes are the best!

Afternoon outfit: J. Crew coral ankle jeans (similar here), leopard scarf and Lanvin Sandals. I brought out my Lanvin sandals after seeing these bow ones on Net-A-Porter. Aren't they adorbs?

Friday Eye Candy: YSL

Oh hello, Friday! It's been a busy week and I cannot wait to relax a little bit this weekend. We are also prepping for The Scavenge Bowl 2012 which happens next Friday. If you live in LA, registration is open through Sunday and I absolutely encourage you to sign up. It's the best night/scavenger hunt/adventure ever!

... weddings, weddings and more weddings! Tis the season and that means you need something to wear. Depending on the dress code, I like to keep two things in mind: cocktail & color. And by cocktail, I don't mean a Vegas dress! 

Here is a Summer "guest of" look I wore to a recent wedding:

When I spotted this dress on Piperlime I knew it would be perfect for a Summer Wedding (it also comes in green & blue) and actually stalked in until they re-stocked my size. The pleats* are extremely flattering and the racerback style ensures comfort even until the last dance. I added a glitter belt for a touch of glam and topped off the look with my Zara sandals and a leopard bag. Mr. Pursuit can vouch that I had these shoes on the entire night (I'm a dancing machine) and didn't even think twice about taking them off... they are THAT comfy!

*You might notice after looking at the product shots that there are extra flaps/pleat details around the bust. For a more streamlined look, I tucked the flaps under and used garment tape to hold.
