LBD Style: Birthday Girl

I celebrated my birthday over the weekend and while I was trying to plan birthday activities and outfits, I thought to myself: "I see a cutesy LBD in my future." That turned into "oh I also need one for Valentine's Day & a girl's Vegas trip" and then the dollar signs started racking up. Obviously I instantly thought about The Stylist LA and how this could be a great new LBD series!

The Stylist LA is a high-end dress borrowing service that allows you to spend a fraction of the retail price for a fabulous dresses then accessories with all the glam shoes and jewels from your closet! If you're in LA, you can also make an appointment to try the dresses or have them come to you.

If you remember the Holiday Style looks I did with The Stylist LA then you'll love the next four days of LBD looks:

{parker architect beaded dress - borrow for $75 // manolo blahnik bb pump // inpink bracelets}

The art deco beading on this dress is INCREDIBLE and the fit is super fun and comfy. Honestly, what birthday girl doesn't want to shine on her special day? I'm all about a birthday splurge, but $375 to buy vs. $75 to borrow seems like a pretty easy decision to me.  It was tough picking the right shoes, especially after all your lovely comments on instagram! A pop of color is definitely needed for this dress, but I think a single sole heel is the way to go since there is already so much going on with the dress itself. Another option: pair with black pumps and grab a bright clutch to finish it off!

This is what I actually ended up wearing for my birthday dinner as we didn't go all out as I had once planned + I was feeling a bit under the weather.

Stay tuned for another LBD Style X The Stylist LA look tomorrow. It's a look you'll love... hint hint!

  1. HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY! Wow, you look fabulous in that dress! I really love the beading, and love the pop of colour with your shoes! I've been meaning to try one of those dress rental sites, but sadly, most of them do not deliver to Canada. :(
