Last Minute 4th of July Party Ideas

'Merica's birthday sure snuck up this year! Gone are the days of planning crazy boozy bashes weeks in advance ... hello, real life and THANK GOODNESS for a three-day weekend. Can you tell I'm feeling very nostalgic for college lately? Speaking of college, today I'm partnering with Smirnoff Ice to share a couple of patriotic party ideas.

Whether you've got your entire menu and decor already planned or need a last minute red, white and blue idea, these are sure to be a hit:

{patriotic cups}4th of July Party Tricks, hostess, diy cups, washi tape, straws
Who doesn't enjoy drinking Smirnoff Ice or 4th of July cocktails out of fabulously festive cups? These babies literally take 2.5 seconds to make and people will be super impressed. Believe me, I tested them out over the weekend!

-what you need-
blue & red paper straws (Target has a plethora of colors)
clear plastic glasses
washi tape 4th of july decorations, party, diy

I've actually started picking up washi tape whenever I can because there are so many crafty ways to use 'em. I mean, look at these options!

{vodka watermelon}
I know, I know... vodka infused watermelon is not a new party trick, but switch out regular vodka with Smirnoff Ice for a more refreshing, less "whee-wee" taste. You know what I mean?!

-how to-
1. cut watermelon into mini triangles (or drop it on the floor like I did) #hotmess
2. place triangles in shallow bowl/plate and pour Smirnoff Ice over
3. let sit for about an hour
4. drain excess liquid and serve for boozy watermelon perfection

For another festive layer, add gold toothpick toppers to make it easy for your guests to grab the watermelon pieces! Cheers to an amazing 4th of July filled with fun in the sun, fireworks, yummy food and delicious beverages. Smirnoff Ice celebrates the absurdly awesome and hey, I do too!
