That Slit Tho

The maxi is having a moment and we can ALL take advantage of this comfy, feminine, and oh-so sexy trend. It's really all about the slit. A great slit adds gorgeous movement, makes any maxi much easier to walk in, and is a good cheat for us short gals (no hemming!).

This Reformation beauty has been my go-to for the past few months (as noted here and here) and the best part is that she can go from day to night with a simple change of shoes:

I'm so sad cuz this exact dress is sold out, however, it was one of their best selling styles so my fingers are crossed it will make another appearance. It came in a few other color combos - like this blue + black that my friend Natalie wore recently.

My tips for shopping/wearing maxis:

- find a style that has an adjustable waist
- wear booties or flat sandals for a casual, boho looks
- get glam with heels and a metallic belt
- make sure to have the correct undergarments (this one requires sticky boobs)

Btw, we shot this at the gorgeous Langham hotel during my Pasadena local guide shoot! Make sure to check it out it you're headed to the valley anytime soon.

  2. May be an awkward question, but how do you keep the girls supported with a dress like this? I've tried "stick-ons" but now sure if there are other options! Also, this dress is perfection. :)
